Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to services provided by The Pelvic Clinic and to your use of this website. By booking a consultation, procedure, or aftercare with us, or by using this website, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you have any questions, contact us at info@thepelvicclinic.co.uk or on 0161 726 5100.

About us

The Pelvic Clinic is a private gynaecology and urogynaecology practice led by Mr Jonathan Broome, Consultant Gynaecologist (GMC registered). We provide clinics and procedures at Spire Manchester and Spire Hale. Mr Broome is regulated by the General Medical Council and the clinic is subject to the standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Our services

We provide private consultations, investigations, surgery and aftercare in gynaecology and urogynaecology. Nothing on this website is intended as personal medical advice. Any information provided is for general guidance only and does not replace an individual consultation with a qualified specialist.

Booking appointments

You can book appointments directly with our practice management team or through the Spire appointments team. A GP referral is not required to book, but you usually need one if you intend to claim through private medical insurance. When you book an appointment, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

Fees and payment

We will explain consultation fees, procedure fees, and any additional charges in writing before your treatment. Self-pay patients must settle consultation fees at or before the appointment. Where treatment is paid through medical insurance, you are responsible for obtaining pre-authorisation from your insurer before the appointment, and for any shortfall, excess or amount not covered by your policy.

Surgical fees, anaesthetic fees and hospital fees may be invoiced separately. Any take-home medication supplied by the hospital may be charged separately. Payment is due on receipt of invoice unless a written agreement to the contrary is in place.

Cancellations and missed appointments

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, may be charged at the full consultation rate. The hospital sets cancellation terms for procedures and surgery, and we will provide them with your quotation.

Consent to treatment

We will carry out any treatment or procedure only with your informed consent. You will receive clear information about the proposed treatment, its benefits, risks, and alternatives, and will have the opportunity to ask questions before deciding whether to proceed. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Clinical outcomes

While we make every effort to achieve the best possible outcome, no medical or surgical treatment can be guaranteed to be successful in every case. Recovery times, results and the need for further treatment vary from patient to patient. Any expected outcomes discussed at your consultation are estimates based on clinical experience and are not guarantees.

Complaints

If you have concerns about any aspect of your care, please contact us so we can address them. If you remain unhappy, you may contact the Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service (ISCAS), the hospital where you were treated, or the Care Quality Commission. You can raise complaints about individual clinicians with the General Medical Council.
