Conditions Treated
by Mr Broome

Mr Broome offers expert diagnosis and personalised care, covering the full range of pelvic and gynaecological conditions.

Endometriosis

Tissue, like the womb lining, grows outside the uterus, causing pain, heavy periods, bowel problems and many more symptoms. We listen carefully, confirm the diagnosis, and treat it with medication or keyhole surgery.

Fibroids

Non-cancerous growths in the womb that can cause heavy bleeding, pressure in your tummy, or backache. We scan to see their size and position, then tailor treatment to your symptoms and individual circumstances.

Heavy Periods

Bleeding that is heavy or long enough to take over your month. You do not have to put up with it. We look for the cause, check your iron levels, and build a plan around how you want to live.

Ovarian Cysts

Fluid-filled sacs on the ovary. Most settle on their own, but some cause pain, bloating, or a dragging feeling. We scan, take a blood test to see what kind you have, monitor it, or remove it by keyhole surgery if needed.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse

When the womb, bladder, or bowel drops from its usual position, causing a heavy dragging feeling, a bulge, and urinary and/or bowel symptoms. We assess it and can offer physiotherapy, supporting pessaries, or surgical repair.

Polycystic Ovaries

A hormone condition that can make periods irregular, cause acne or unwanted hair, and affect weight and fertility. We confirm the diagnosis and support you with medical and lifestyle care.

Stress Incontinence

Leaking urine when you cough, sneeze, laugh, or exercise. It affects around one in three women at some point, and around half of women over 65.

Vulval Skin Conditions

Persistent vulval itching, soreness, splitting, or changes in skin colour are often dismissed for years before a diagnosis is made. They should not be.

Menopause

The average age of menopause in the UK is 51, and perimenopausal symptoms typically begin four to eight years before that. A private menopause consultation gives you time, a diagnosis and a personalised plan.

Urge Incontinence

A sudden, powerful need to pass urine that is hard to put off, often with leaking before you reach the toilet. Left unaddressed, it can shape journeys, sleep, and social life around the nearest toilets.
