Meet Your Consultant
Consultant Gynaecologist & Urogynaecologist
With 26 years’ experience as a Consultant Gynaecologist and 16 years in full-time private practice, Mr Broome has made his name by solving pelvic floor problems that leave women feeling unheard. He founded The Pelvic Clinic to give those problems the specialist attention they deserve. His approach combines surgical expertise with the time to listen that patients rarely get.
A Practice Built on Women Being Heard
Most women who find The Pelvic Clinic have already heard this: “It’s normal at your age.” “You’ll have to live with it.” “A hysterectomy is really the only option.” Often they’ve waited years for an appointment, only to leave frustrated with a ‘one-size-fits-all’ plan. Mr Broome founded this clinic because that’s not good enough.
As a senior gynaecologist known nationally for his work in pelvic floor disorders, Mr Broome brings both specialist expertise and something rarer: the willingness to spend time getting to the root of what’s happening. He treats urinary incontinence and prolapse with surgical precision. He also manages the full range of women’s health concerns: heavy and painful periods, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and menopausal care. Whatever brings you in, the approach is the same. Proper investigation, clear explanation, and a treatment plan that fits your life.
Surgical Expertise
Mr Broome is one of only a small number of surgeons in the UK able to repair pelvic organ prolapse using keyhole techniques while preserving the womb. Women travel from across the country for this procedure because it works. Smaller incisions mean less pain, faster recovery, and a solution that fixes the problem at its root rather than working around it. Women return to running, exercise, and work with the confidence they thought they’d lost.
More than two decades of consultant-level pelvic floor surgery in the NHS and in private practice.
Every consultation starts with listening. We listen to what's actually happening, how it's affecting your life, and what you've already tried. No rushed assessments. No minimising, just thorough investigation and plain-language explanation.
The real measure of success isn't a successful procedure. It's whether you get back to the things that matter. Running without leaking. Exercising without worry. Intimacy without discomfort. That's what recovery looks like.
